It is highly recommended for psoriasis, eczema, and various urinary and respiratory infections. Pure chemotyped essential oil of Copaiba (Copaifera spp) has traditionally been indicated for:
POSSIBLE SUBSTITUTE OILS: Black pepper and frankincense. BLENDS WELL WITH: bergamot, cedar, sage, lavender, lemon, orange, tangerine, and ylang ylang [2].
SELECTED EVIDENCE:
Animal research suggests that copaiba reduces central and peripheral inflammation and pain.
[3-5]
Copaiba oil reduces the abnormal growth of endometrial tissue and reduces the severity of endometriosis in animals.[6]
Topical or oral administration of copaiba oil reduces the production of pro-inflammatory molecules and improves psoriasis symptoms (scaling, redness, and thickening of the skin) in a small clinical trial.[7]
Copaiba oil is effective against the bacterium S. mutans, which is considered the main organism responsible for dental caries.[8,9]
A 1% copaiba oil solution significantly reduced the appearance of acne in a clinical trial.[10] Copaiba promotes wound healing.[11] Topical application of copaiba oil increased the growth of blood vessels (angiogenesis) and the viability of random skin flaps (skin and tissue removed to cover a nearby wound) in rats.[12] It also reduces inflammation and cell damage that cause tissue death.[13]
Copaiba oleoresin protects the intestines from oxidative damage to tissues and organs caused by loss and subsequent return of blood supply (ischemia/reperfusion) based on animal research.[14] It also protects the stomach from ulcers caused by the NSAID indomethacin.[15] Animal research suggests that copaiba oleoresin protects against colonic inflammation and damage caused by colitis.[16]
Copaiba helps decrease inflammation by strongly inhibiting the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) which is involved in the inflammatory response in vitro.[17]
Beta-caryophyllene selectively inhibits the growth of animal cancer cells without harming normal cells in vitro.[18]

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE RECOMMENDED BY DOCTOR SALIARMO
This is an exercise to expand your heart chakra, strengthen the immune system, and open our minds to the great vision that awaits us tomorrow:
Sit upright in a meditative posture. Apply a drop of chemotyped pure essential oil of Peppermint in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Take a deep breath while holding your hands in front of your nose.
Sit in your own hands until you calm down and your desires disappear over the horizon.
Then put your hands on either side of your chest at the level of your heart. Feel how the love from your heart flows into your hands.
Now, fully extend your arms to both sides. Touch your causal body and catch your vision that is available there. You may need to reach up your arms until you find it.
Now, bring your hands up to your head and completely envelop it with your vision. Allow your thoughts to bathe in it until you have a clear idea of how to achieve your full life. Put mint in your mind.

Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis ) is distinguished by its high Limonene content (approximately 95%), which has a sedative, relaxing, calming and digestive action in humans and animals.
anti-inflammatory activity
Limonene suppresses the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF - α and nitric oxide (NO). An increase in the production of TNF - α is associated with the appearance of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatism, psoriasis and arthritis. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulates the production of TNF-α. Orange peel essential oil (80.5% Limonene and 2.9% Myrcene) at a concentration of 100 μg/mL inhibits LPS-mediated TNF - α production by 50-fold.
NO is produced by several types of cells, especially macrophages. LPS stimulates the production of NO. It is NOT part of the body's defense mechanisms against bacteria and viruses. However, an exaggerated production of NO damages the cells. Since NO is an important regulator of inflammatory activity, NO measurement is a method to measure the anti-inflammatory activity of essential oils. Orange peel essential oil (80.5% Limonene and 2.9% Myrcene) at a concentration of 100 μg/mL inhibited LPS-mediated NO production by 2.1-fold. Natural medicines are safer and more cyclooxygenase.
Mix 1 to 2 drops of Orange essential oil with a teaspoon of Honey. Half an hour before each meal, apply honey on the tongue and orange essential oil under the tongue. Route of application: sublingual and oral.
For greater effectiveness, apply the drop of EO alone without mixing and keep under the tongue for 3 to 5 minutes and then digest what remains three times a day. Route of application: sublingual.
Mix two (2) drops of Orange essential oil with a teaspoon of Honey. Half an hour before each meal, apply honey on the tongue and orange essential oil under the tongue. Route of application: sublingual and oral.
For greater effectiveness, apply the two drops of EO alone without mixing and keep under the tongue for 3 to 5 minutes and then digest what remains three times a day. Route of application: sublingual.
Liver disorders including liver failure
Mix 108 drops of essential oil with 25mL of Safflower vegetable oil. Apply 6 to 8 drops of the mixture and massage the abdomen in the liver area (4 minutes) twice a day . Continue applying 3 to 5 drops of the mixture on each foot and perform a reflexology massage in the liver area (3 minutes on each foot) twice a day. Carry out this self-therapy for a long period of time, checking liver function every year.
Movement disorders (eg Parkinson's)
Diffusion for 15 minutes per hour in the room with a cold nebulization diffuser.

In addition, you can use acupressure by applying a drop of the mixture to each point followed by thumb or index finger pressure for two minutes on each point. The points for anxiety and anguish are BP6, PC6 and VG26 and VG20. The points for insomnia are BP6, PC6, VC6 and VG20. Total time of acupressure self-therapy is 12 minutes.
depression, irritability
Diffusion for 15 minutes per hour in the room with a cold nebulization diffuser.
Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis) helps you reconnect with your sun, reconnect with your essence, reconnect with yourself.
]]>MEDICAL AROMATHERAPY is the medicinal use of essential oils for the prevention and treatment of diseases by olfactory, topical, oral and/or sublingual route as part of natural health, well-being and beauty solutions with a holistic approach for personal and family strengthening. and business.
Although it is true that the Internet and social / commercial networks are very generous in information about the medicinal use of essential oils, many times this information lacks reliable foundations on molecular content as well as information in terms of indication, dosage, contraindication and precaution. . Therefore, when using an essential oil, its molecular content and its precautions for use and contraindications should be considered in order to avoid harmful side effects such as migraine, nausea and general malaise, among others.
The objective of this MEDICAL AROMATHERAPY BLOG is to share fundamental knowledge about each essential oil (blog posts) as materia medica, its properties, indications and contraindications among various aspects, so that the user acquires the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and sufficient for safe and responsible clinical use of aromatherapy for physical and emotional prophylactic or therapeutic purposes.
Aromatherapy is an example of emotional therapies since smell and odor perception are carried out in the hippocampus, a structure highly related to the emotional body. The molecular protection of the skin and internal and external mucous membranes through essential oils heals the astral body, the interaction of the chemical compounds contained in the essential oils acts on the physical body. Nature provides us with its infinite pharmacopoeia through the essential oils that some researchers grouped into aromatherapy, which is a natural resource that protects the body at the molecular level inside and out.
In BLOG DE AROMATERAPIA MEDICA you will learn about essential oils, each blog post explains the uses and benefits: what are they? What are they for? How can I use them to get the most benefit? Remember that the pharmacopoeia of nature is a million times more extensive and powerful than the pharmaceutical pharmacopoeia. With knowledge, understanding, and love you can combine these tools and heal yourself at home without the need for medication or a doctor. Remember that the first thing is not to harm yourself or others. Through a chromatogram it is possible to know the molecular content (or chemotypes) of essential oils, whoever wants to know more about this technique is recommended to review chapter 7 of the HPLC COMPENDIUM on Chromatogram Interpretation [1]. Pictured is a typical GC-MS chromatogram showing chemical analysis of essential oil from air-dried peels of C. paradisii or AE Grapefruit [2]. In [3] you can see a chromatogram of the essential oil of nutmeg .

]]>The organic vegetable oil of Safflower seed (Carthamus tinctorius) is the ideal oil to be used as a vehicle or carrier oil or oil base to add pure chemotyped essential oil(s) and thus form a therapeutic mixture of oils. . Its color is pale yellow like its flower.
Analgesic
Safflower AV has dose-dependent central and peripheral analgesic effects to reduce pain associated with inflammation. It has analgesic effects comparable to naproxen. Organic safflower seed oil at a dose of 300 mg/kg has analgesic effects comparable to naproxen 10 mg/kg. Its oral intake is safe for the stomach and has mild anti-inflammatory effects [1].
Nutrition
The high content of Omega 6 (linoleic acid; 77.2%) and Omega 9 (oleic acid; 11.8%) [2] gives safflower vegetable oil a reputation for stimulating cell regeneration . Therefore, it seems suitable for mature, rosacea or fragile skin. Omega 6 contributes to good reproductive health and brain development . Omega 9 reduces cholesterol levels and strengthens the immune system. Both reduce inflammation and help heal wounds [3].
Contains Vitamin K. Vitamin K is a group of vitamins that the body needs for blood clotting, helping wounds to heal, bruising (from trauma or surgery) to resolve and diminishes skin redness. There is also some evidence that vitamin K may help maintain healthy bones.
It is safe during pregnancy: it can be used topically from 1 to 4 drops per dose during the first trimester and from 1 to 7 drops per dose during the second and third semester of pregnancy. The maximum safe oral dose is 10 drops per day during the second and third semester of pregnancy [5].
Dermatological properties: emollient, antioxidant, nourishing, moisturizing, regenerating, softening and calming (antipruritic) of the skin [6]. It also helps certain skin conditions, such as stretch marks. spider veins and decreases redness due to its mild anti-inflammatory effect.
The high content of linoleic acid (Omega 6) associated with the presence of oleic acid (Omega 9) gives vegetable safflower oil a reputation for stimulating cell regeneration. Therefore, it seems suitable for mature, rosacea or fragile skin. In addition, vitamin K acts favorably on skin redness. Suitable for mature , fragile or rosacea skin.
For these reasons, safflower carrier oil is the first choice among cosmetic manufacturers who require a moisturizing oil. In addition, it is very popular in massage oil blends because it is easily absorbed and can be washed off clothes and clothes without staining [2].
Properties for the skin:
Adjuvant in the treatment of cryptococcal infections, malaria and leishmaniasis, since treatment options are increasingly scarce due to the development of drug resistance. Organic Safflower Seed Oil has effects against Cryptococcus neoformans, Plasmodium falciparum and Leishmania donovani. Even cold diffusion of safflower vegetable oil has anticryptococcal, antimalarial and antileishmanial effects. USP Grade Organic Safflower Seed Oil has an excellent acute toxicity safety profile and has been found useful in the treatment of cryptococcal infections, malaria, and leishmaniasis [4].
Omega 9 strengthens the immune system . Omega 6 and 9 stimulate cell regeneration, reduce inflammation and help heal wounds [2, 3].
Safflower oil is widely used as a supplemental nutrient to prevent the development of essential fatty acid deficiency while decreasing the wide fluctuations in blood glucose levels during parenteral nutrition , especially in surgical patients [7]. It also contains Vitamin K, which improves the healing process and reduces infection, as it works by preventing bleeding that could cause a hematoma in the wound.
Daily supplementation of 8 grams of organic Safflower seed oil (8.6mL; 72 kcal) for 16 weeks improved fasting glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), QUICKI, C-reactive protein, HDL ("good cholesterol") ), total cholesterol and adiponectin in patients with type 2 diabetes and obesity. Inclusion of a small amount of safflower oil in the diet may have significant effects on clinically important risk factors in the management of diabetes and prevention of diabetes-related complications [8]. QUICKI is a surrogate marker of insulin sensitivity) and Adiponectin is an insulin-sensitizing and anti-inflammatory hormone secreted by adipose tissue that has immense potential as a therapeutic target for a multitude of obesity-related diseases, including type 2 diabetes. 2, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.

Bergamot essential oil is appreciated for its soft and relaxing fragrance. In vitro studies suggest that due to its linalool content, it inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). Inhibition of AChE activity enhances memory and thinking. Selective inhibition of Bche is indicated to treat neurodegenerative diseases, since this enzyme interferes with the function of Acetylcholine. Additionally, BChE is frequently present in brain scan results from Alzheimer's patients. Interestingly, BChE regularly shows up in the results of brain scans in Alzheimer's patients.
Linalool stands out for its antispasmodic and anxiolytic properties. By entering into competition with certain neurotransmitters in the hippocampus, it regulates mood, lowers blood pressure and dissipates stress. Various investigations conclude that inhaled Bergamot essential oil has the ability to profoundly influence the nervous system to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, negative emotions and fatigue, as well as correct mild mood disorders.
Animal studies suggest that Bergamot essence reduces the response of the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis to stress by reducing corticosterone secretion and is a valuable remedy for anxiety and stress management.
Linalool and limonene are antiseptic and antibacterial. Linalool has manifest action against: Campylobacter jejuni, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis.
Limonene is active against Aspergillus niger and Penicillium digitatum. The presence of both molecules justifies their use for environmental asepsis.
Finally, limonene, the main molecule of bergamot essential oil, acts positively on digestion as a carminative, digestive (stimulates gastric motility and reduces nausea) and laxative. Additionally, limonene is recognized for being choleretic and cholagogue, stimulating the generation of bile and its secretion at the intestinal level, favoring the digestion of fats and favoring the functions of the liver, on which it has a hepatoprotective effect.

Similar to Clove essential oil due to its high eugenol and eugenyl acetate content, Cinnamon leaf essential oil – very different compared to Cinnamon bark essential oil which has a different molecular composition – also has a high anti-infectious activity related to the concentration of eugenol, a molecule with a broad spectrum of action (including viruses and parasites) that has the ability to affect the cell membrane of fungi by reducing the amount of ergosterol, an essential component of their cell membrane. Additionally, eugenol stimulates digestion by increasing the synthesis of the gastric mucosa. The immunostimulant activity of Cinnamon essential oil is related to its contribution to the antioxidant system, allowing a global increase in the immune response to external aggressions. It is also known for its ability to increase the concentration of immunoglobulin A (IgA).

Terpenyl acetate acts on the nervous system in the processes that trigger spasms, competing with the molecules responsible for the contraction of smooth and striated muscles, so this essential oil allows suppressing or attenuating muscle spasms and associated pain. 1.8 cineole or eucalyptol is recognized for stimulating the glands of the respiratory mucous membranes and allows fluidizing the secretions, favoring their expulsion from the respiratory tract. Additionally, 1,8 cineole has anti-infective properties. In the presentation of the properties of the essential oils of Eucalyptus Globulus and Eucalyptus Radiata, more information appears related to 1.8 cineole, the majority molecule of these two essential oils. Cardamom essential oil is especially indicated against intestinal parasites (helminths).

Known as the dentist's essential oil, Clove essential oil is known and highly valued for its analgesic and anti-infective qualities thanks to its high eugenol content, a very powerful molecule in various fields of application, both in human health as in agriculture. Eugenol has a broad-spectrum antimicrobial capacity in bacteria and fungi, including those resistant to antibiotics such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter jejuni, and Candida albicans.
Eugenol relaxes the digestive smooth muscles, having an antispasmodic effect. Based on animal studies, eugenol blocks the action of various pro-inflammatory molecules involved in arthritis, leading the researchers to conclude that Clove essential oil “could be useful as a beneficial supplement to treat human arthritis. Another study concludes that Clove oil had an anti-inflammatory effect equivalent to Etodolac (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID). The psychostimulant effect of this essential oil is similar to that of psychostimulants but without side effects. It has been shown to increase motor activity and decrease depressive states during physical exercise.

Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil, along with Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil, are widely known and recommended to treat respiratory system conditions. Its anti-infective activity related to the presence of alpha-pinene, together with its mucolytic and expectorant power related to the presence of alpha-pinene and 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) are especially suitable for the treatment of diseases such as bronchitis, sinusitis and greasy cough among other conditions of the respiratory system. Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil is specifically recommended for adults, while Eucalyptus Radiata is recommended for children. 1.8 cineole increases the ciliary motor activity of the respiratory tree, stimulating the efficient expulsion of mucus. Eucalyptol inhibits inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor TNF-α, interleukin-1β, leukotriene B4, inhibition of 5-lipoxygenase and development of Prostaglandins PGE2. These actions contribute to reduce the inflammatory processes commonly treated by steroids. During a clinical trial with a patient treated with prednisolone, the administration of eucalyptol made it possible to reduce the dose of prednisolone, demonstrating an activity similar to that of steroids in obstructive respiratory diseases such as asthma. It should be noted that eucalyptol does not have the side effects of steroids. Animal research warns that the indications of Eucalyptus Globulus for conditions of the respiratory system are probably related to its ability to reduce the activity of the TLR4 receptor in the bronchioles and the excess production of mucus caused by lipopolysaccharides. Spasmolytic and bronchodilator activity. In obstructive pathologies of the respiratory tree, such as asthma or obstructive pulmonary disease (BCPO), the bronchi contract, inflame, and hypersecrete mucus. Eucalyptus essential oils rich in 1,8-cineole have a spasmolytic effect on smooth muscle fibers: in a context of respiratory obstruction, this muscle-relaxing effect produces beneficial dilation of the bronchi for the patient.
Decongestant and antitussive activity.
The anti-inflammatory and expectorant effects are generated by the rebound effect:
Decreased mucus production and therefore dryness of the nasal and bronchial passages. a decrease in the frequency of coughs associated with infectious conditions of the respiratory tract, such as colds and nasopharyngitis, or with inflammatory diseases such as asthma. Eucalyptol has proven antibacterial activity against various species of Staphylococcus sp. and alpha-pinene against the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae and the fungi Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Both molecules are involved in defense mechanisms against parasites and viruses.

Turmeric essential oil stands out among most of the most common essential oils for being a powerful antioxidant since tumerone gives it a high capacity to capture free radicals from the body, contributing to the delay of cellular aging. It is widely recommended for the treatment of intestinal and digestive conditions. It is really valued for stimulating the liver and gallbladder thanks to the action of turmerone, the main molecule of this essential oil that favors the production of bile by the liver, allowing it to stimulate digestion, facilitating the dissolution of fats and contributing to the elimination of toxins. The antiparasitic property of tumerone is especially effective against intestinal parasites. Tumerone contributes to the healing process by promoting skin cell regeneration. The sesquiterpene carbides of Turmeric essential oil participate in its anti-inflammatory and analgesic response. In 1972, Chandra & Gupta scientifically demonstrated the anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritis actions of this essential oil. Turmeric essential oil, accompanied by Eucalyptus citriodora or Copaiba essential oils, is optimal in the preparation of formulas for arthritis and osteoarthritis pain. In 2017 Amutha et al. find that α - and β -turmerone, curlone and α -terpineo have important activity to treat heavy metal poisoning by the mechanism of action of chelation and scavenging [5].

Aromatic Description: Tangerine essential oil is fruity, fresh and sweet. The aroma is like a freshly cut tangerine. Exuberant citrus aroma.
Country of origin: Sicily.
Tangerine essential oil is known for its sedative, relaxing and calming properties, as well as its digestive tonic properties.
Tangerine essential oil is commonly used, facilitates digestion, has lipid-lowering or lipolytic properties by stimulating the dissolution of fats due to its high limonene content. Tangerine essential oil facilitates digestion, soothes hiccups, improves intestinal peristalsis and has a slight laxative action.
The limonene contained in this essential oil calms nausea and has very useful gastro-protective properties in situations of heartburn, heartburn, gastritis or gastroesophageal reflux. Limonene, the major molecule of the essential oil extracted from the peel of citrus fruits, suppresses the production of pro-inflammatory factors (TNF alpha and nitric oxide). It has a cholagogue and choleretic action; favors liver drainage by stimulating the elimination of toxic substances. Limonene has a hypoglycemic effect (lowering blood glucose).
Studies in the field of the bronchi, limonene, in addition to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties (decrease in inflammatory cytokines and reactive oxygen species (ROS; Reactive Oxygen Species)), inactivates the migration of white blood cells involved in the reactions of hypersensitization and allergy (eosinophil polynuclear).
Limoneo together with Gamma-terpinene induce a decrease in cholesterol and triglycerides. The beneficial action of its compounds at the hepatobiliary level and on fat and sugar levels in the blood gives it interesting properties in the prevention and improvement of metabolic problems such as: gastric hyperacidity, obesity, dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes and overloaded liver, steatosis and bile sludge.
The beta-pinene and limonene of Tangerine essential oil combine antibacterial activity against Gram – and Gram + bacteria. Tangerine essential oil can also be used in diffusion to sanitize the environment.
Beta-pinene, limonene and Gamma-terpinene mimic vitamin P with its effect of decreasing the permeability of capillaries and increasing their resistance, contributing to blood flow, preventing accidents of hypertensive and diabetic origin, as well as a general relaxing effect.

]]>Good quality chemotyped essential oils require a tool that allows not only their olfaction but also their entry into the body through the respiratory system without having been modified in temperature, physical or chemical composition. An essential oil suspended in microdrops in the environment does not allow the existence of any virus, bacteria, fungus or parasite. To start our adventure in aromatherapy for health and well-being, we suggest, in addition to the indispensable tool of an atmospheric cold diffuser of essential oils, a relaxing oil, an invigorating oil and a multipurpose one.
An atmospheric cold diffuser for essential oils is the best technology to disperse aromatic molecules, taking advantage of their volatile characteristics. Through the effect of capillarity, the essential oil found in the glass ball rises through the base of the vertical channel (a glass capillary microtubule) and when it is at its end, a microdrop of essential oil located at the tip of the tube capillary where, thanks to a silent air pump and a second horizontal tube with Venturi effect, it blows pressurized air, nebulizing the microdroplets of essential oil that spread into the atmosphere. Glass is an innocuous material, the diffusion process occurs cold and does not physically or chemically modify the essential oil, thus allowing it to preserve all its therapeutic properties.
To achieve the therapeutic effect it is advisable to have a good diffuser. When using a good diffuser, it is not necessary to dilute the pure essential oil in another oil, much less in water. A good diffuser does not heat or ionize pure essential oil. A good diffuser blows air into a drop of oil, thus allowing this double lipid bilayer of pure essential oil with air inside to overcome gravity. Through diffusion, the senses can be revived in the most natural way possible, either by breathing the air or through the psychic or emotional effect.
Get in touch with the best of essential oils through a good atmospheric cold essential oil diffuser, which is a therapeutic tool that suspends microdrops of medicinal plants in the environment, managing to unite the physical molecular world with the intangible world. invisible and subtle aroma. Because the essential oil is suspended unchanged in the environment, the cold essential oil diffuser allows essential oils to enter the body safely through the airway. Once the aromatic molecules enter our body through the airway, in addition to performing therapeutic actions in the respiratory system, they pass into the bloodstream, performing their therapeutic effects on all the organs of our body.
Difference between the diffuser and the cauldron? The cauldron only evaporates the essential oil with heat, releasing its smell, but rapidly degrading its active ingredients, while the diffuser works when cold, nebulizing microdrops of essential oil, which preserves all its medicinal and olfactory qualities. Due to the above, the relation time of use and use of the properties of the essential oil versus cost is much better with the cold essential oil diffuser.
"Cold electric nebulization diffusion: the essential oil will be used pure. The diffuser will project the essential oil into microparticles that will not be heated (which preserves the properties of essential oils) and will be released into the atmosphere" [1].
